As if…you think I care.
Happy MONDAY BABES! Love this darling plaid skirt Planet Blue skirt. It’s now$38!! Today, I’m sharing my best version of Cher from Clueless. This is my “As If” look. Or “As if” attitude, I guess you would say. I’m also referring to it as I am going back to the old me. As in me in the 90’s high school kid without a care in the world. Lately, I’ve had the attitude of really not caring so much what people think.
For instance, I don’t care what you think if I might be showing a little more skin in my few last outfits. I try to be tasteful and chic no matter what I bring to the blog. Trust me there are plenty of girls that show way more skin than me! Another example is, I don’t care if you think I’m too old to be wearing what I personally choose to wear. Yep, not in my 20’s but that doesn’t have to put my in the “MOM” category where all I wear is sweaters, jeans and workout attire.

This year I am not about pleasing others (outside of my kids and immediate family) so much as making myself truly happy so that I can be a better version of me. Disclaimer: Just so you know I do not always look like this day to day. I love fashion and my exaggerated sense of style that I call my own. I hope that you ALWAYS find a better version of yourself loves! ps. I own a majority of things I bring to my blog but I do barrow from time to time from local boutiques.
Personally, I can’t say NOT caring DOES apply to my real life job because I do have things to care about it, making sure employees are getting paid (as I do Office Manger type work) and just my job there in general. I have never thought much about what people think in relations to my personal appearance. “Look the other way”, I would think to myself. Although, I know people look and judge. Hell my high school best friend thought I was a bitch when she first met me.
What I am trying to say, the older you get you care less and less and become more comfortable in your skin. One fact about me you may not know– is that I am actually extremely shy and I really won’t really talk to you unless you talk to me first. Call me a “typical” blogger, I get it; I live it every damn day…Anxiety. Also, I think that the introverted part of me makes up for my extroverted sense of style. It’s all about balance, right!? Who knows!# If I was to really care what others thought- it would do literally do me no good. And you too- don’t let others bring you down.
No matter what just keep on going, look the other way and do your own thing! Special thanks to my local Planet Blue Dallas store off Henderson in Dallas for letting me snag up this adorable outfit for my shoot. Xo, Kristi
