CHARLOTTE TILBURY BEAUTY REVIEW
liquid contour wand (fair-medium shade)// highlighting “light” wand (spotlight)// matte lipgloss (Charlotte darling)// bronzer blending brush// St Xavier lips clutch
1. bronzing wand
So I am loving these new goodies from Charlotte Tilbury! The bronzing wand is the easiest thing to apply. It has a soft cloth-like applicator. You simply just twist the dial on the on the tube…took me a minute to figure out that is why I am explaining. Then you squeeze the tube to get the product out. You have to work with the darker contour wand VERY FAST. The product dries very fast and you want to be able to buff out the harsh lines with the blending brush. It’s great for Fall makeup routine.
So I apply one side buff and go to the next area (work fast with this product). I have tried apply the product all over my face and then go back but I am not liking the way it turns out. This CT brush it’s SO soft and multi-funational. Using the fatter side to buff out the hallows of cheeks/ forehead/ neck area. You can use the small side if you want to contour your nose. I like the smaller side to buff for the highlight light wand. I have not noticed any fall out from this brush. It’s $40 it’s very soft and high quality.
2. highlight wand
The light highlighting wand is just that. It’s THE BEST THING EVER! I tried at first using it as a lighter contour color. It’s not that kind of product. It’s strictly for highlighting cheekbones, side of lower eyebrow arch area, bridge of nose and above your top lip. You can use on inside corners of your eyes too. Do not mistake is as a light concealer product, like I said it’s not that. You whole face will end of very shinny and gloss like. No Bueno! It’s very pretty when used properly.
Hollywood Lips Liquid Lipstick: I love this lip product. It has this slanted lip applicator that for some reason it makes you lips look a lot fuller and plump. I never really though that I lip applicator made that much of a difference but in this case it does. I am not a fan of MATTE products, they are very drying to my already dry lips. This one isn’t as drying as others that I have tried. So I do like that. The shade I got above is a beige nude. It’s a darker nude color- great for Fall. I kind of wish I got the Platinum Blonde- that is a peachy nude!
Update: I did try the lip kit from Nordstrom that had the Kim K lip color/ darker nude / lip pencil and the lipstick was drying for me. So I went back to my Mac lipstick. You really can’t beat their lipstick, especially for dry lips. I just bough this shade and will report back!
I did love the CT lipliner . Love how it applied better and lasted longer than my Mac lipliners.
Always a lot going on in the beauty area. These posts usually take the longest. ONE DAY I will do a YOUTUBE. It would just be easier. And visually you could actually see what the heck I am talking about too! Anyway take care babes XO, Kristi
