Alexis is One!
Alexis is ONE!! I am SO beyond excited and giddy to be able to share these photos. This was defiantly a dream fairytale shoot with me and my babies! I totally lucked out and was able to have the best florist in town sponsor the event. Their work is incredible! Today, you are just seeing the fun Cake Smash session we did at the end of our long humid day. It rained all morning, so the field was pretty wet. I thought we were going to have to cancel the shoot because it poured down rain until 1 and the shoot was at 4pm.
We made it through all the drama…and all that comes with having to photograph more than one person. Luckily, Brandon was there to help keep Asher in line. We bribed him with a trip to the toy store, of course. And the hubs held Alexis in-between the different outfits. He didn’t really want to do the cake smash (and I was almost ready to go home) because every time we sat her down she cried. One little taste of the vanilla icing and she was totally fine!! I will be sharing mommy and me photos soon in a separate mommy themed blog posts. Stay tuned, they are all just too adorable!

This age is probably my personal favorite, things are always so fun with her…she’s getting a lot more mobile and smiling all the time! Poor Asher and those bright red cheeks. he must have gotten that from me! I just love watching these two interact everyday and hopeful they remain close. Asher is my sweet boy. He loves giving her snacks and helping out when he can.
I really hope that you enjoyed these photos and seeing my two cuties together. Even though I have a strong love for my fashion type posts. This shoot is something that I have dreamnt of for a very long time. I never imagined I’d be blessed enough to have One let alone Two healthy beautiful babies. Especially, after Stage 3 melanoma in 2008 and 2010. Or have One boy and One girl. Or that this is exactly what I have ALWAYS prayed for and in the order God gave me.
Special thanks to Dr delphinium Designs & Events for Sponsoring this post!
You have no idea what it meant to me or how great it was to work with your event planning team! You are the best!!
This was a pintrest board come to life to me! This shoot was unlike all others (except for Asher’s 1st bday smash, duh). It’s a once in a lifetime event. One that I will cherish forever. One that has so many photos the photographer dropped me as a client. I have to know…she’s not a mother and has no idea how hard it is to choose between all the photos (and precious little moments) of her two babies. Kids in general (and my baby girl) have so many expressions! I wish I choose a family photographer in the end. I hoped the whole thing had a better outcome but it didn’t. The truth is, things happen for a reason and I welcome that change.
I can stop being a fashion blogger at any given point but I won’t stop being a mom. Thanks Angie for working with me on these amazing photos!
